The Clarins Fall 2016 Collection is all about emphasizing eyes with volume, volume, volume!

Clarins has revamped their eyeshadow palettes for fall. The new Clarins 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette ($43 CAD) is available in three shade combinations. 01 Nude, 02 Rosewood, and 03 Brown. All feature gorgeous neutral shades that will flatter a wide variety of skin tones and eye colours. The formula is enriched with vegetal extract and carnauba wax to offer a smooth, buttery texture and beautiful pigmentation. The shadows can be used dry for a more natural look or wet for more intensity. I was very pleased with the colour payoff and beautiful finish of these shadows and didn’t feel any need to use them wet.
I have Nude and Rosewood to share with you today. Both are versatile and well executed palettes. I found the shades in Nude to have more of a satin shimmer finish where Rosewood offered more shimmer.

Rosewood is my favourite of the two. I am in love with the shades.
The new Clarins Supra Volume Mascara ($27 CAD) introduces a new volume booster complex. It features key ingredients that help thicken lashes, and with repeated application, further increases volume. The formula also includes pantheon to help strengthen lashes over time. I found the formula to have an almost mousse texture rather than wet. It applied well with minimal clumping and I didn’t feel the need to comb through my lashes after applying to coats. It gave a nice balance of volume and length while still maintaining good separation. I did experience some flaking at the end of the day but no smudging and my curl held up all day.

The Supra Volume Mascara is available in a permanent Black shade as well as a limited edition Intense Brown. Below is two coats of Intense Brown. I am wearing the Rosewood eyeshadow palette.
