The Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Blush ($12.99 US) now comes in four beautiful shades. This formula is so creamy and smooth thanks to the powder being infused with Murumuru Butter, Cupuacu Butter, and Tucuma Butter. The formula features essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that actually improves the condition of your skin.
The blush pans are embossed with a rippling water effect (at least I think that’s what it is!) that adds to the Brazilian tropical vibe.
The four shades are:
Vintage Rouge, Rosy Pink, Plum Rose, and Natural Glow
Natural Glow has a beautiful shimmering finish while the other three shades have a skin like satin glow. The shades are all quite light and I think best suited to lighter skin tones. Plum Rose and Natural Glow in particular are quite softly pigmented. I think Plum Rose would work as a beautiful gentle contour and Natural Glow as more of a highlighter or blush topper. The subtle pigmentation, combined with the absolutely delicious tropical scent, make these blushes such an idea option for young people just getting into makeup. It would be pretty hard to overdue it with this formula.
The blush pan flips up revealing a mirror and dual sided applicator beneath. It is a sponge tip applicator with a very smooth side on one side and a more standard sponge texture on the other. I really wish they had of just skipped the applicator and made slimmer, easier to store compacts. The applicators work but I would much prefer a brush so I can’t see ever using them.
